Which course suits you?
The three courses above at a glance: who they're meant for and what exactly you'll learn. That way you can see in one look which one best fits your starting point and goal.
For absolute beginners and for pilots who already fly in the mountains or on the winch. Starting from scratch? Then you'll learn to soar step by step here. Already flying? Then you'll discover that soaring is a discipline all its own. You build total control over your glider, which will noticeably help you in the mountains and on the winch too.
- Becoming a solo pilot at the Dutch dunes
- Total canopy control and soaring technique
- Better and safer launches
- Flying more confidently along the coast and in the mountains
Beginners who want to make the complete journey, from their first metres on the paraglider to flying the parakite solo. You learn both from scratch.
You first learn to fly with the paraglider and build the best canopy control and muscle memory on it. That foundation makes you a safe, fully-fledged pilot. Only once you're ready do you make the step to the parakite.
- Phase 1, paraglider: canopy control & muscle memory
- Soaring solo at the Dutch dunes
- Phase 2, parakite: the switch as soon as you're ready
- Kite-riser techniques and systems
For people who already master soaring and now want to make the switch to parakiting.
- All the ins and outs of the parakite
- New techniques to kill the wing
- Using the parakite safely
- Switching from paraglider to parakite
How do our courses work?
Our courses are built in two phases: Wing Mastery and Pilot Mastery. You learn step by step, at your own pace, until you fly solo with full confidence.
Paraglider or parakite?
You soar with one of two types of wing: a paraglider or a parakite. They look alike, but they feel completely different in the air. Below are the key differences, so you can more easily choose what suits you.
Paraglider
- The classic, versatile wing for free flight
- Calm and forgiving, ideal for building muscle memory
- Also suitable for mountain flying and thermal flying
- A nice, predictable wing to start with
- The best wing to learn soaring with on the coast
Parakite
- Faster and more agile, made specifically for dune soaring
- The perfect combination of speed and stability
- Fitted with a kite-riser system, built to dive & play
- Direct, sporty handling close to the dune
- The modern standard on the Dutch coast
Still in doubt? You don't have to make anything final now. Start with an introductory lesson to try both and get advice, or start with the Paragliding Soaring Course and switch later for €200 extra to the Complete Soaring Course, in which you'll learn to fly both wings anyway.
